The Story
Twenty-eight years of watching gifted people break in ways they never saw coming.
Dr. Jose “Dr. J” Rodriguez, PhD has spent nearly three decades as a pastor, leadership scholar, and shepherd of leaders. He has sat with pastors who built large platforms and lost their families. He has walked beside marketplace leaders who outpaced their own character and didn’t know it until the fracture became public.
He was not a distant observer. He carried this himself.
The research that became the Troika Leadership Model grew out of a conviction he could not shake: that the Church had a theology of transformation but no architecture for it. That leadership development had become performance coaching with biblical vocabulary. That something was missing — not in the curriculum, but in the formation.
So he pursued a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies, not to earn credentials, but to build the architecture. He studied what genuinely forms a leader over time — Attitude beneath behavior, behavior that reveals character, character that holds under pressure. He traced it through Scripture. He found it in Galatians 5, in Romans 5, in Matthew 7. It was always there.
The result is the ABC Whole Leadership Framework — a Christ-centered formation model grounded in the nine Fruit of the Spirit, designed not for platforms but for people. Not for growth metrics but for fruit that lasts.
Troika Ministries exists to carry that work into every household, every pulpit, every boardroom where a leader is quietly asking: “Is this really who I am becoming?”

The fruit of Attitude and Behavior sustained through trial. Character — what Scripture calls dokimé, proven and approved — is never declared. It is recognized. By their fruit you will know them.
Grounded in Galatians 5:22–23. The fruit is singular — the Spirit forms a coherent life, not a collection of traits.
Formation is the metric. Fruit is the evidence. Character is the credential.

What is Troika Ministries?
Troika Ministries is a Christ-centered formation movement helping believers and leaders grow whole through the ABC Leadership Model (Attitude, Behavior, Character), biblical teaching, formation courses, and published resources. The name comes from the Russian troika — a three-horse harness where no horse pulls alone. Whole leadership works the same way. Formation over information — the priority is who you are becoming, not what you know. Belonging before expectation — every person is received before anything is asked of them.
What is the ABC Leadership Model?
The ABC Model is Troika's formation framework rooted in Galatians 5:22–23. A — Attitude (inner posture: Love, Joy, Peace) shapes the climate of everything you lead. B — Behavior (visible practice: Patience, Kindness, Goodness) shapes culture over time. C — Character (moral foundation: Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-Control) is proven fruit sustained through trial. All three are co-equal and inseparable.
Who is Dr. J Rodriguez?
Dr. Jose "Dr. J" Rodriguez is the founder of Troika Ministries — pastor, author, leadership scholar, and mindset coach with 28+ years of ministry experience. He holds a PhD in Leadership Studies, an M.Div., and is creator of the ABC Whole Leadership Model. He and his wife Ruby have been in ministry together their entire married life. Headquartered in McKinney, Texas.

TaMOS (Troika AI Ministry Operating System) is a private, invitation-based covenant formation house — a digital home where leaders walk through a structured formation journey with AI-guided spiritual guidance and human accountability.
